As we are nearing the end of 2021 and quickly approaching a new year, we turn our attentions to plans for estimates and project scheduling.  Here then  is where we encourage our current and future customers to please do not wait to get your home improvement estimates. The schedule fills fast and industry costs continue to rise. Projections are that 2022 will only see continued increases in these prices.

Ever since the start of the pandemic in February 2020 nothing has been normal in everyway possible. Our company experienced a great uptick in remodeling and painting improvement projects all throughout this time, and it hasn’t reduced. Unfortunately, inflation has hit due to shortages of labor and materials. According to an article published 12/16/21 in Better Homes & Gardens (https://www.bhg.com/home-improvement/advice/maintenance-repair/average-cost-of-home-repairs/):

According to Angi’s 2021 State of Home Spending Report, the average home improvement spending was $10,341 this year—a 25% increase from 2020.

Spending on emergency repairs increased 42%, with an average of $2,231 spent on an average of 2.2 projects per household, likely due to the added stress on home systems from people being indoors more. Weather also played a part; the report found that in states that experienced severe weather conditions, such as California, Texas, and New York, emergency repairs were even higher.

The good news is that the sooner the better for getting best prices on your estimate and locking in your project start date. Please don’t wait: contact us at 210-403-3232 or [email protected], to schedule your free estimate appointment. We look forward to working with you soon!
