One of the best ways to bring value and beauty to your home is to update your bathroom. According to the website “Remodeling”, their 2013 Cost Vs Value Report, within the San Antonio area, a bathroom remodel has a 82.5% cost recuperation average. Master Bathrooms can run anywhere from $7,000 to $15,000 depending on the size and what is desired. However, a Hall Bathroom typically costs $4,000 to $6,000 to update.
Renovate Paint and Design’s suggestions are the following:
- Starting with electrical, do away with all light boxes or Hollywood light systems above the mirror. Instead, install lighting that looks elegant with a brushed nickel or antique bronze finish. You can even put in can lights to create a better visual affect.
- The next item that is a must is in updating the shower. New tile on the floor and inside the shower along with a seamless shower stall with definitely add to the beauty of your bathroom.
- New counter tops and possibly new cabinets will almost finish the overall transformation.
- Finally, do away with all wallpaper and add the finishing touch and warmth of paint to the walls.
It is amazing how much comfort and joy you can bring into your home when you redesign this space. It will feel like you have created your own personal spa.
nice bathroom remodeling … please explain how to ward off the damp walls resulting from water seepage bathroom? thanx before
Make sure all grout lines are filled with either grout or caulk. Otherwise if there already is damage behind the tile surface you will need to have the shower walls rebuilt using hardie backer board and either a membrane or water proofing agent.
